Feel the pull in your legs and the wind in your hair as you take on the challenge up to Gullfjellet – Bergen's highest peak at 987 meters above sea level. Here, a breathtaking view awaits over Samnanger, the village rightly called the world's most beautiful. Gullspretten - Gullfjellet straight up - is a mountain race organized by Samnanger IL, starting at the old ski jump at Gullbotn. More information about prizes will come as the race approaches, but we promise prizes for everyone! The most important thing now is to get the whole family involved and sign up!
Highlights
- Gullfjellet has been a landmark and guiding star for the people of Western Norway for hundreds of years – both for mountain dwellers, hikers, and weather forecasting.
- The starting gun goes off at the old ski jump in Gullbotn, a piece of local sports history where jumps have been made since the early 1900s.
- There will be a competitive class and a recreational class with/without timing.
